I have been obsessed with all thing beauty related since a very young age. I never really enjoyed school, but
I really loved getting ready to go there. Our local beauty salon in East Texas, Janeen’s Country Cottage, felt more like religion than the Methodist church I was a member of. The smell of perms and Sassoon hairspray would about knock you over when you walked in but it was love at first sight. The owner, Janeen, was the coolest, with her mile-high/permed/blonde hair and a tan that would make Snookie jealous.She was a #girlboss before it was on trend and although I knew ultimately small town life was not my vibe, Janeen’s will always hold a special place in this city girl’s heart.

My hope with this blog is that I can share with you all of the tips, tricks and products that have made my beauty journey easier and more fun because we all know: (in the words of Dolly Parton) “There is no such thing as a natural beauty”.
